| Push - PG-13 |
I watched this movie for one simple reason - the hopes of seeing Chris Evans topless, or better yet naked. I didn't get that. Instead what we ended up with was some bad dialog, dragging sequences and fight scenes that had no real spirit or muscle to them. The movie felt flat, dragging and mindless with a plot that really didn't go anywhere significant. It was an amazing struggle to stay awake throughout the film, what more finish it. The only good points about this movie would have to be (1) the interesting opening introduction that tells just exactly what's going on in this place and (2) the random and rare moments when they interpret certain powers in a very interesting manner. |

| Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - PG-13 |
The Michael Bay Transformers franchise (and note this is HIS and not really Hasbro's anymore) gets credit for it's amazing use of CGI and finally bringing the dream of live-action Transformers to life. At the same time, it's key to remember that this is NOT the original Generation 1 and you can bank on the fact that Michael Bay won't even TRY to pay true homage to the cartoons and comic books that have come before. He never claimed to be a fan and after watching this movie, you'll really know that's true. This movie is not great because of its story or because of how compelling the characters are or anything serious like that. This is CGI porn (as many reviewers are calling it), a visual extravaganza of mind-numbing fight scenes that go by so fast that you don't even know what's going on any more. It has stupid eye candy like Megan Fox on a motorcycle and it has more robots than ever before even though you can't even identify who they are. This is pure unadulterated shallow adult entertainment - something for you to enjoy without thinking too much about it. If you want a movie that has massive robot fight sequences, mind-jarring explosions and lots of Megan Fox running around so her breasts swing around, then this is exactly the movie for you. |

| Terminator Salvation - PG-13 |
This was a lot better than I expected given the negative reviews. It was a good Terminator movie (but maybe not a great movie in a general sense) and it was a nice homage to the past films and to some extent the recent TV series. Definitely still worth seeing. |
