I did a speech on this film for English in Year 8, and although it puts me through terrible pain to say this, but I sort of enjoyed it, although we had to watch it 9 or 10 times. The use of colours capture emotion in a way that you would never imagine. Vincent Ward has done a fan...( read more)

We had to study this film as part of our English class way back when I was younger. The movie was clever in its use of historic parallels. Was quite sadden by the fact it was the young boy that died.

Saw this a LONG time ago...long before I had seen many foreign films. Made me interested in seeing more. I remember liking it, though it was confusing, dark, and slow. But I was 13. I should probably see it again to see if it holds up!
