Am I the only person in the world who doesn't like LOTR?? could be. This first film was ok, the look is good but just not dark or scary enough. The cast is good, especially he Hobbits, and they work very well with their characters. The effects for me are just too cgi and plastic ...( read more)

Critic Reviews
The real deal, a movie epic that pops your eyes out, piles on thrills and fun, and yet stays intimately attuned to character. full review

A well-crafted and sometimes stirring adventure. full review

February 6, 2008Amazing! Peter Jackson did a tremendous job at adapting the greatest book series of all time into the greatest film series of all time. Blows Harry Potter out of the water in so many ways. I hope he will direct the Hobbit, couldn't imagine anyone else.
