July 2, 2009Amazing film. It is scandalous, not only because of the sexuality topic twist, but also the way creators portrayed the symbolism of the story. LOVE IT, ADORE IT, and highly RECOMMEND

January 7, 2009This movie is a confusing series of images. The writer explained that he wanted to do something different than the series...I was just confused. The animation is great though.

December 2, 2008Convoluted storyline and not in line with the original series at all. And the Utena "car" at the end is just weird. But the art is gorgeous. Worth a view if you liked the original Utena series (even though the plots are different), though probably a skip for everyone else.

December 5, 2006Utena is the best. This takes all characters, while some may be familiar, you see some good twists and stuff. The manga and anime do not exactly corralate completely, but it does have the similarities. This is great if you know the basic story/characters, and are willing to confuse yourself. ^___^
