Really weird movie. I wasn't really a fan, and the only reason I watched the whole thing was because of Vin.

Assault on Precinct 13 meets Aliens. Turned Vin Diesel into a marqee name which resulted in the overblown sequel; The Chronicles of Riddick.
This is an OK potboiler with waaay too much cred. It's the thing Corman used to churn out for a buck 98. (But he would have put David C...( read more) -

"One rule. Stay in the light"
Wow. This is the 10th anniversary of "Pitch Black", a low-budget scifi thriller. Directed by David Twohy and starring Vin Diesel, the film will guarantee one hell of a thrill ride.

Pretty good scary science fiction. You can just tell at the beginning of the movie that not everyone was going to make it off the planet. The people that survive the crash don't know each other, and they learn lots about each other.

March 6, 2008I really enjoyed this movie.
I was skeptical to watch it at first because it stars Vin Diesel as the main role and he still hadn't impressed me much. Also because it was on SciFi, and movies on SciFi are usually extremely corny. But a friend recommended it, so I watched it. It turned out to be an amazing movie with my original doubts completely gone.
The only thing I can truly say I didn't like was the fact that even though Riddick tells them not to do something, they do it, and the raptors get them. I know, you can't trust him, blah blah blah, but honestly.
Now I'm just hoping the prequel is as good. -

July 9, 2006this is a movie you know you ought to hate, but you don't for some reason. i think that reason is the first twenty minutes. they actualy made you care a bit about the characters, and the photographywas, while a bit over the top, rather well done.
