The film focuses on an evangelical Christian camp of rare devotion. Twelve-year-old Levi, who was "saved" when he was five, is a shy boy, except when he is filled with the Holy Spirit. Nine-year-old R...( read more

August 24, 2009
Documentary about a Pentecostal summer camp for children. An effective documentary is unbiased, allowing the viewer to form their own opinions. Unfortunately, this is clearly not the agenda of the filmmakers. Clips from Mike Papantonio's radio show are frequently inserted to e...( read more)

As frightening as Jesus Camp is, the movie's also damn fascinating--depending on how much narrow mindedness you can put up with. Initially I felt bad for the kids in this movie but by the end of it I was scared shitless of them. Especially the one with the rat tail. The scene whe...( read more)

A wonderful humorous look at an evangelical camp for kids. The brain washing these children undergo is both funny and scary. At the same time though you have to admire the adults for being so dedicated to their cause, no matter how narrow minded they are. Despite his mullet Levi ...( read more)

Even handed look at evangelical Christians which lets the material speak for its self. Bristling with intriguing moments and juxtapositions. Really gets you thinking about how children should be educated.

I really enjoyed how this film was not narrated. It gave me a certain amount of confidence that it wouldn't be a Moore-like documentary...somewhat leading, but also fascinating.

A shocking and scary look into one of the many fascist "Jesus" armies full of children located in the god-loving and religiously obsessed USA.

No dai, perché nessuno mi aveva mai informata dell'esistenza di questo film comi.. ehm, documentario?! La cosa migliore poi è stata "Harry Potter is the devil!!!!!"
Va beh, comunque, seriamente, mi ha fatto una gran pena mista a tristezza mista a scuotimenti di testa continui, p...( read more)

July 6, 2007Man to man is so unjust, children
You don't know who to trust
Your worst enemy could be your best friend
And your best friend your worst enemy
Some will eat and drink with you
Then behind them su-su 'pon you
Only your friend know your secrets
So only he could reveal it
And who the cap fit, let them wear it
Said I throw me corn, me no call no fowl
I saying, "Cok-cok-cok, cluck-cluck-cluck"
Some will hate you, pretend they love you now
Then behind they try to eliminate you
But who JAH bless, no one curse
Thank God we're past the worse
Hypocrites and parasites
Will come up and take a bite
And if your night should turn to day
A lot of people would run away
And who the cap fit let them wear it
And then a gonna throw me corn
And then a gonna call no fowl
And then a gonna "Cok-cok-cok, cluck-cluck-cluck"
Some will eat and drink with you
And then behind them su-su 'pon you
And if your night should turn to day
A lot of people will run away
Who the cap fit, let them wear it
Throw me corn, me no call no fowl -
July 1, 2007More proof that religion is a crutch, and an excuse for the less than "well" educated.

April 30, 2007This movie is fantastic. The most awkward parts of the movie were scenes with Mike Papantonio, a radio host. But the whole movie was great. Everyone no matter Christian or not should see it. Jesus Camp is a movie that is worth watching. If you get a chance, see this film! I think everyone who sees this movie will come to it with a bias, and what they take from it will be that which confirms their bias. Secularists and more liberal Christians will find some mighty disturbing material, whereas Evangelicals are likely to be exalted. It is a credit to the movie's objectivity that this is so. Whatever your bias, I think there is enough here to make this worth seeing.

March 22, 2007crazy fuckers in this film! The parents I mean, forcing their kids to dedicate their life to something which they might not have chosen themselves had it not been forced upon them, and at an early age when they don't know any better.
I've got nothing against religion (I'm all for it), but I prefer if they let the kids grow up a bit and choose their own lives for themselves. -
March 19, 2007I think the film was done in a unbiased way. The camp is real and the woman said what she wanted. No judgement is made for us. It never says all Christians are like this, if people are taking it that way they need to be educated as badly as the people in the movie. I suggest the Orthodox church, but I am biased.

March 19, 2007For real, Mercury! "Under God" was added to make Communist out themselves. There's documentation that it was to be removed.
