November 19, 2007I Loved this movie! It had great special effects! I do think that there was a little too much violence! (of course I really didn't mind it) If you would like to see a really great fantasy movie! This is it! It is my favorite! I think it had a happy ending because the girl went with her parents instead of staying with that evil Stepfather (who died anyway) I think that she was a little stupid because she ate a grape after that faun told her not too, but I do think the guy at the table who put his eyes in his hands was awesome!!! THIS IS A MUST SEE MOVIE!

The Spirit of the Beehive (which influenced this) and Ivan's Childhood both do much better jobs at portraying the inner world of children during war. -
October 20, 2007If your complaning that it can't be in english then mayb e you should stick to some close-minded movie to feel more comfy. this movie was wonderful and I loved every second of it. This Adult version on Alice in wonerland will move you.

August 25, 2007Filme sensacional! Guilhermo del Toro caprichou no roteiro e na direção. Muito semelhente aos filmes de Tim Burton. Terror e fantasia em uma só história. Um conto de fadas obscuro. Totalmente mágico! Na verdade algumas cenas chorei um pouco, mas no final, chorei muito! Nossa, só uma palavra pode simplificar esse filme: MARAVILHOSO! Um dos filmes mais brilhantes dos últimos tempos.

July 1, 2007loved everything about it!!! i speak spanish and i can tell you that, no matter the language, the message is the same and is just a charming movie. the end serves a dual purpose. It is tragic, very tragic when ofelia dies, but also for her inocence, she goes back to that place where a kid's mind belongs. she went back to the world the legend said she left, and back with her parents.
