I enjoy watching people crash. I'm glad Dane Cook is okay with it. It seemed like she made the decision rather easily, although so did they.

As the title indicates, this is a "real life" story. I felt as if I wasn't actually watching a movie. Heartwarming and funny. Good movie.

Dan In Real Life starring the hillarious Steve Carell and one of my favs Juliette Binoche. These two people find each other and are smitten at a book store one afternoon. Later they find themselves in a very odd circumstance. This is a funny movie worth seeing.

Prosjecna romanticna komedija. Svidjela mi se ponajvise zbog glavnih glumaca i docaravanja jedne normalne, obiteljske atmosfere. Ful mi je super ono sto se kaze na kraju - poantira cijeli film stoga cu citirati: I wanna break from my usual format and talk to you about the subject...( read more)
Critic Reviews
Why must so many family-friendly romantic comedies give us such wan, forgettable dialogue and predictable situations? Dan is derivative at best, and feels like filmmaking by focus group at worst. full review
In the end, the commercial necessity of wrapping up a family comedy in less than 100 minutes seems to have trumped anything real about Dan's life. full review
Dan in Real Life is neither wildly farcical nor mockingly cruel, but rather, for the most part, winningly gentle and observant.
There are some loud moments and big laughs. full review
There's nothing groundbreaking about Dan in Real Life -- it's a picture that could have been made 10 or 20 years ago -- and yet its easygoing, affable nature is exactly what makes it pleasurable. full review
For all its by-the-numbers plotting, Dan in Real Life is winningly good-natured and funny. full review
Steve Carell's pursed-lipped awkwardness and sweet buffoonery are both in fine form, but those endearing qualities aren't nearly enough to salvage Peter Hedges's incorrigibly hackneyed film. full review
The plot tickles sitcom, but the film is a winner because Carell and Binoche follow Hedges' lead and keep it real. Sharing their company really is a pleasure. full review

July 28, 2009The trailer of this movie looked so nice, but the movie itself disappointed me. It's so simple, and simple can be good, but this was just a little boring. It's nothing new.
