Armageddon has some good moments but is severely let down by the unnecessary melodrama and unrealistic scenes (OK, it's all very unrealistic but the bit when the space-buggy jumped over the astro-vally was just too silly for me)

Great popcorn flick thats very tense in places and quite moving at the end, its also a possible reality check.
Second best Bay film after 'The Rock' for me. The visuals here are brilliant, really cool looking and believeable, from the machines to the suits. The cast is another gr...( read more) -

A group of unlikely heroes have to save the earth from an asteroid. Interesting relations between the main characters, but typical Americans always save the day!

Kinda works in spite of itself. Alternately cheesy, funny (both intentionally and not) and somewhat emotional. Saved by the score in many places.

Intense and mindblowing Hollywood delivery of crap for the masses. It is extremely enjoyable and The Criterion Collection noticed something I may be missing, the special effects are amazing and the overall technical aspects denote effort, but--- it's Michael Bay! He still thinks ...( read more)

July 6, 2008Hello:
I actually know 'Cyclops Lady' and she is a world renown ballerina. She was only made up to look menacing, but she is one of the nicest ladies that I have ever known in my life. She is a Sweetheart and I love her dearly and her family also.
As for the movie, "I love it!"
Take care all,
William
