Probably the funniest Polanski short. Another slapstick comedy, this time with Polanski himself as the servant-slave of a tyrannic fatso.

funny and imaginative surreal comedy. Many years before his cameo appearance in Chinatown, Polanski played a short, menacing gang leader here. good score by Krzysztof Komeda.

A sort of nostalgic exhibition inside a toy store. Polanski proved he could accomplish a total dominion of space.

The story of the deranged french butcher began with this short film that displays every single trademark of the pretentious filmmaker Gaspar Noe, the prominent use of black and red, the disturbing presence of Philippe Nahon, titlecards, explicit carnage, sexuality and gutter language. definitely not for the squeamish.

Orson Welles' first film. A short that answered to the styles that were in vogue those days, particularly to Buñuel and Cocteau. Vague but interesting.

Powerful visuals, but no story to sustain it. For the fans of weird midnight movies like eraserhead.

Sam Raimi's ultra low budget first attempt of 'the evil dead'. In fact, Raimi made this short in order to earn some money and invest it in a full lenght version of it. This fun gore fest has some of his distinctive visual procedures and a very simple story that was later expanded in his first feature, with most of the same cast.

The bastard child of Luis Buñuel and Aleister Crowley. Great score and pagan imagery.

Masterpiece of Spanish cinema. Acid, surreal and terrifying. A holy trinity of Hitchcock, Kafka and Orwell would be proud.
