|  Hulk Hogan mini-bio: Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea is a French Italian. He was raised inTampa Florida where he frequently practiced baseball. Terry began a short stinted music career playing bass guitar for several local bands. he was attending college until the day he decided to sell all his school books to pay for his training to become a pro wrestler. He started out as a typical oversized bad guy paring with legendary Freddie Balssie as his manager.
His big break came in 1982 when he appeared in the major hit film Rocky III, starring as a wrestling persona "Thunderlips" the ultimate male". Later he would appear on a talk show next to Lou Ferigno, and recieve attention as being bigger than the man who protrayed the incredible Hulk on tv.Thus he earned the nickname Hulk and used it during his wrestling tenure.
His fame from the film further catipulted his wrestling career into superstardom as he won his first World Heavyweight Championship soon after, credited as the birth of "Hulkamania". 
Hogan's first reign as champ would be a long and illustrious one, spanning from 1984 till 1988 when he was robbed of the title by a controversial decision. Hulk would regain the title roughly a year later and would go on to serve as the champion for a solid year.  His first major loss of his career since winning the title in 84, came when he suffered a clean pinfall in March 1990, dropping the title. He incured an injury soon after and left the ring. Hulk would remain absent until the Summer of 90 when he made his return with incredible fan support and applause. He would go on to win the title once more at the industrys biggest event of the year in March of 1991. This time his reign as champ wasnt nearly as long but it wasn't the last time he would be ontop. Hogan would surprise fans by winning the title for the 5th time at WrestleMania 9
During his success in said industry, he would go on hiatus many times and branch out into film and, television. His early roles on TV included cameo appearances on the A-Team, alongside his real life friend and costar of Rocky III, Mr. T, and doing voice work for a cartoon based on his name and likeness called "Hulk Hogan's Rock n Wrestling". Later,he would stared in many action and family oriented films such as , Suburban Commando and Mr. Nanny. Hulk then became the star of the action series Thunder in Paradise during the mid 90s, which spawned three films.In 2005 ,He starred in his own reality show "Hogan Knows Best" on the Vh1 channel,which documented his family life and time spent retired from wrestling and film, and mainly focused on his daughter Brooke Hogan, and the beginings of her music career.He also appears in the follow up show,"Brooke knows best" usualy depicting himself as the overprotective ageing father. In 2008 he was also the Co-host of the revamped sports challenge show american Gladiators, he hosted for the entirety shows 2 seasons. He also went on to host a show on Country Music Television called Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling.After a 20 plus year career,Hulk was inducted into the WWE Hall of fame. Hulk Hogan has been noted as possibly the most famous wrestler of all time, and the Babe Ruth of pro wrestling.
