Emily Mortimer mini-bio: Emily Mortimer is the daughter of John Mortimer, clever writer for the theatre,
film, television, and radio, and Penelope Glossop. As a young girl she attended St.
Paul's Girl school, during her years there she appeared in several student
productions. She attended Lincoln College, Oxford while studying English &
Russian for 4 years (1990-1994) and also appeared in several plays. Emily wrote for
a column called the Daily Telegraph for a while and also wrote the screen adaption
of Lorna Sage's novel, Bad Blood. While filming the made for TV movie, The Glass
Virgin, she was spotted by a producer. Her first film she played opposite Val Kilmer
in The Ghost and the Darkness (1996). In 2000 she starred in Love Labour's Lost and
met actor Alessandro Nivola. They got married January 3, 2003 and had their first
son Sam September 23, 2003.

it was the first time when i saw Emily Mortimer and she was awasome... i've remembered her face forever... i think it is the best episode of "Midsomer Murders"
